About

Me: The Photographer

Style: Photo Journalistic approach with a touch a fashion and a few poses.
It is interesting how a camera can freeze the beauty and emotions of the day that we too soon forget or skim over.

I look at each wedding as unique as the Bride and Groom.I seek out the distinctive style of the wedding, the regalness of the bride and her court and the elemental details.
While this is good for my approach to your wedding, it is you – your better half and your families/friends that really create a special day.  …And I get a kitchen pass to be a part of your family for a day!

Given the technical aspect of capturing your wedding, the really story is capturing the emotional moments throughout the day;  A laugh here, a tear over here, a hand shake, a toast of respect, the gentle dress check by the mother of the bride, the bride finding something blue to wear, the expression of dad just after he lovingly lead his daughter down the aisle…..

As time passes, family and friends will share and re-share the special-crazy moments from your wedding.  The images from your day will become treasured documents; holding memories and feelings that bind your family for generations.  This is what matters.  This is where personal engagement from your photographer can make all the difference.

The PhotographerFacts about me……..

  • While in the United State Air Force, prior to take off, I would have little chocolate donuts and a Diet Coke for breakfast.  Seriously.
  • The military and my current job have given me opportunities to travel widely and to experience other cultures in a  personal way.
  • Love to use chop sticks.
  • My wife is a wickedly beautiful lady from Columbia and am the father of lovely, inquisitive, persistent little girls.  Yes – 2 of them.
  • I don’t mind getting in the kitchen and mixing it up a bit.  I do most of the cooking for Thanksgiving including rhubarb pie.
  • When grilling outside, it is on a Weber Grill over charcoal.
  • I have been known to jump on-line w/ my Xbox360.  Games: COD, Splinter cell, Ghost Recon.
  • Loved the last Star Trek movie.  Avatar in 3D is very cool….. i have seen it twice.
  • On the way to a wedding; old school Stevie Wonder, Crystal Method, Mana or some Mark Anthony will be cranked
  • ……..and don’t forget the coffee!  Colombian of course….

I would love to hear from you and get to know you.  Please fill out my contact sheet and I can get back with you promptly.

Thanks for your time,
-Mark
